Kindergarten, from 3 to 6 years old children develop essential skills of sharing, acceptance and sociability with the surrounding world in English and Portuguese.

A native speaker teacher interacts daily in kindergarten with children in the development visual, musical and dramatic arts activities. The experience in kindergarten lets children contact with ways of being, hear and feel the English language and culture through its communication.

LITTLE GREAT ARTISTS EVERY DAY!

ASTORIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – COLÉGIO EUROPEU ASTORIA THEATRE WORKSHOPS

Dramatizing is dreaming aloud, is drop the imaginary characters that we have within us and interpret the world around us. Being creative is to have autonomy to communicate our view of the world. To give this freedom to our children is to grow with them. Also we learn a lot in the theater workshops because we are surprised every day. Little Artists Congratulations! This activity is part of our curriculum.

LITTLE EINSTEINS!

Our brilliant minds learn in the Fun Science and Food workshops new formulas and magical potions! From kindergarten we research, analyze and teste how it forms the rainbow, the water cycle, where and what is the horizon among other fantastic discoveries. These are clearly the highlights of our week! This activity is part of our curriculum.

MATHEMATICS LITERACY PROJECT ON THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES

Our most recent curricular activity and one that we are very proud of is the math literacy Project, starting from kindergarten we linked portuguese/ english, math and ICT. In an era of new technologies, teaching has also to evolve, so we developed the literacy math involved in new technologies, Astoria’s students learn concepts of logical-mathematical via computer and not via the traditional method.
