PSYCHOLOGY OFFICE
The Psychology Office follows the Astoria students/families from Nursery to Lower Secondary.
PSYCHOLOGY AND TRAINING
Astoria International School offers a Psychology service as a response to the specific needs of students and families. Its main objective is to facilitate the adaptation to the school environment, promote social and emotional well-being, develop activities in emotional education and provide vocational guidance.
PSYCHOLOGY OFFICE TASKS
Support and monitoring the adaptation/integration of students;
Support the Astoria families-information directed to the child/youth growth;
Guidance and monitoring of students;
Strengthening of personal and social skills;
Promotion of the integral cognitive/emotional development of the students;
WORKING HOURS
Astoria International School’s Psychology Office is available to support families from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Choosing a more balanced and healthy diet has become one of AIS’ main concerns.

Attentive to the needs of our students, Astoria International School offers a composition of complete and varied meals according to the age group of the students.
SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
Balancing family life with professional life means that many families opt for a more sustained support in commuting to school.
To make daily life easier for Astoria International School families, we have established a partnership with two transportation companies that allow children to travel safely between their home and AIS.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
In case of emergency, our students are referred to the Hospital de Santa Maria, or to private hospitals, if the parents prefer.
PEDIATRIC SERVICE
AIS students can count, whenever necessary, on an emergency service, articulated through a partnership that Astoria International School has established with “OnClinic”, located in Campo Grande-Lisbon.
