National Assessments - IAVE

Good Practices in Psychological Health, Well-Being, Educational Success, and Inclusion aim to recognize and distinguish Portuguese schools whose policies and educational practices demonstrate a strong and effective commitment to promoting the development (cognitive, emotional, social, and career), learning, inclusion, and psychological health of the entire educational community.

This initiative is a contribution from the Portuguese Psychological Association (OPP) to increase opportunities for access to quality, equitable, and inclusive education for all, by encouraging and promoting policies and good practices regarding the promotion of psychological health and educational success in Portuguese schools. It is framed within the scope of the Healthy Mind School Campaign.

In the first edition of this Seal, from 2017-2019, there were 253 applications, and 99 seals were awarded. In the second edition, from 2019-2021, there were 267 applications, with 161 seals awarded. In the most recent edition, 2022-2024, 474 applications were received, and 350 educational contexts were distinguished.

Astoria International School has been recognized as a Healthy Mind School in all three existing editions, standing out in promoting adaptation to educational contexts, the prevention and promotion of physical and psychological health, maintaining optimal functioning and well-being in the school, family, and community, as well as in the conscious implementation of the curriculum, school environment, and educational services.
